I'd rather not say the dollar amount, but it was enough to surprise me and make me squeal.... The instrument panel cover cloth was what surprised me. It was more expensive than the lexan windshield.

I spent approx $65 for a sheet of lexan and traced and cut my windshield. I purchased it at a business that deals in plastic sheeting.

When I built my S-10 everyone said the window was too thin and would sort of vibrate or move in flight. I don't remember the thicknesses anymore, but I went to the local sign shop and bought a 4 x 8 foot sheet of thicker lexan and traced the old window and cut out my own. Very easy and very cheap.

Normally I would go the DIY route, but alas, I am getting advanced in years and I don't want to spend that much time LOL.... I really did give thought to using the old one as a template and cutting the new one with a laser off of my CNC cutter.

The instrument panel cover cloth was surprisingly expensive from Rans (~$312). I brought some to my wife who used to be a professional seamstress. She immediately identified it as "awning cloth" or "patio umbrella cloth". $20/yd.

I used Sunbrella fabric for about $20/ yd. That's an easy cat to skin.....
