Exclamation Are You Flying Your Rans???

Not much going on in this thread!

Are you flying your Rans aircraft anywhere? Putting around the patch?

For October and November I put 98hrs on mine

    86 on the S-20
    12 on the S-19

The only detriment to this is my fuel bill But at 5gph it could be worse!

No, flying is non existent here due to the cold weather (snow), hunting season, and another issue with my engine has it pushed back into the hangar. All my fuel leak issues resolved and all of a sudden one of the ignitions wanted to give up the ghost. Too cold to work on it so it's put away til spring. I did fly the 172 a little though. It's annual was due...not good news there either as I had to replace a cylinder and of course that didn't go easy either. Ordered a new cylinder and they sent the wrong one. Ended up being down for nearly 3 weeks before I was able to fly it home.
I will mention that I just contacted RANS to inquire on a factory visit/tour and maybe a demo. I am hoping to be there and look at an S20 sometime before Christmas.

Wow Glenn, that's a lot of flying! I fly my S7 every day that my schedule and weather permits. 130 hours since first flight 8 months ago. Not bad for a guy that is gone half the month and still has kids at home. My friend Jim is retired with no kids at home and logged over 200 hours in the first year of his S20's life. Evidently, I need to retire and kick the kids outta the house.

Been getting around 1-2 hours in a weekend. Just local farting around in fields and playing with jet sizes. Buying parts for my next big project so it will be down for ~2 weeks here fairly soon.
Temps have been nice lately!! but good and windy which makes it fun when just making landings. Nothing too exciting but I usually don't venture too far away this time of the year it seems. Glad you have been getting in some good flying Glenn!
