Should I modify?
This is always a touchy area. Some people want to build exactly according to plans with no deviations. But one of the great things about this hobby is that I can build this airplane exactly the way I want it. Some people do get carried away with modifications and wind up adding months or years onto the time it takes to complete their project. I'm not really modifying anything...just doing a few things shall we say, differently?

Antenna Location
Like I said, this really isn't a modification. It's just how I am doing things. I have decided to mount the antenna in the tail of the airplane. Why? Simply to eliminate drag.

Wheel Pants
My plan is to use pressure recovery wheel pants from Sam James with full blended fairings. I'm doing this for looks as well as the 5 mph's or so I will pick up in cruise.

One More Small Mod
Finally, my last little mod is to make my S-6 a bi-plane, with a pusher engine, and another engine on top so it can take off vertically. I'm also going to reshape the fuselage into a hull so it can double as a floatplane.
