Airplanes are my passion! I started flying a Piper Cherokee 140 off of a small grass strip when I was 13 years old. Eventually I started flying with a certified flight instructor and soloed when I was 18. I received my Private Pilot Certificate when I was 19. In 1992 I joined the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at Malmstrom AFB in Great Falls, MT where I worked on Minuteman II and III nuclear missiles. In 1996 I left the Air Force and went back to college at the University Of North Dakota and in 1998 I received my Bachelor in Aeronautical Science degree as well as my CFI, CFII, and MEI. I flight instructed at UND for two years until I got hired at Mesaba Airlines in March of 2000. At Mesaba, I flew the SAAB 340 for 8 years as both a First Officer and Captain. I am currently a Captain on the CRJ-900. At the same time I started school in North Dakota, I joined the North Dakota Air National Guard - the Happy Hooligan's unit. I worked there for 10 years as a mechanic on the F-16 until I moved to Michigan and transferred to the Red Devils at Selfridge ANGB. This is where I finally got my once-in-a-lifetime chance to fly the F-16. In 2003 I built and flew a RANS S-10 Sakota, and in 2011 I finished building a RANS S-6S. I am currently building a Vans RV-7A. Enjoy this website!
