Spent a lot of time today connecting this radiator hose. |

I had to modify the
mounting block to make it fit. I basically cut about 1/4" off the bottom
of it. I also secured this block to the radiator mount using two bolts instead of the one shown in the manual. It is much more secure with two bolts. |

Notice the nuts I am using in the engine compartment. I have always heard that the nylon nuts should not be used because the heat can soften the nylon. I don't know if it's true or not but I replaced all the nylon nuts (forward of the firewall) with these self locking nuts. I can't say exactly where I got them, but let's just say that if they can hold an F-16 together, they can hold a RANS together ;) |

Don't forget to insert the large spring into this hose. I forgot and had to take it back off to insert it later. |
