| STARTED COVERING!! It's a slow process as I learn how to
use the Superflite method. Things went slow today but I know they will
speed up after I get over the learning curve. Little techniques I used
for corners and such are starting to come back to me. Once I get into
the groove I think covering is one of the more fun parts of building an
airplane.
WARNING: I originally set this up in my basement but the fumes from the U-500 glue and MEK are very strong and you must have TONS of ventilation. That's why I moved everything to the garage. I think I'm still light headed! |

This is the top of the elevator. I covered the bottom first so the top will wrap around and hide most of the seems. |

Here it is! Only one side is done for
now. All the edges are ironed down and the fabric is shrunk to 250
degrees.
This piece is kind of special for me. The fabric you see here is actually from my S-10 that I built in 2003. I saved the little bit of fabric I had left and decided to use it here. |
