Working on the wingtip box.
Rib is riveted to the clip. I started building the vertical tail. Wings on hold now until the tanks are ready.
This picture is dark, but the inner rib is riveted to the spars.
Starting to look good!
The manual
says I can rivet the outer rib too but I'll wait just
in case I have to take it
off to dimple the holes for the flush rivets.
I flushed out the tanks with water for the second time today so I installed the fittings and once the locktite is dry, I will fill them with water and leak check them. If that turns out good, then I will fill them with gas and let them sit for a week to expand. Then I can mount the tanks to the compression tubes and finish up with the ribs.
