I started painting the fuselage today with epoxy primer. It's very tough to get all the corners and joints. Its also not something that can be done in one day. I sprayed a light coat on today and I'll let that dry overnight. Then tomorrow I will flip the fuselage over, and spray another light coat. I may have to do this a few times to get an even coverage. Here's a couple of pics of today's progress...

As you can see, there are a lot of missed spots. That's okay...I wasn't trying to cover the whole thing in one spray session-that's how you get runs. Some spots will be easier to get to once the fuselage is flipped over.

Before I started painting I had to spend about an hour or so with a wire brush removing very light rust from the welds. That's why I was in a hurry to get this painted. Everyone knows that a bare metal cage sitting in a garage for a week or so is going to start to rust. Mine was just hitting that point so it was easy to remove but obviously there are a lot of welds to clean up. Time well spent though!
