Today I installed the floor board. One of the first steps is to transfer drill the holes from the tabs on the fuselage cage to the floorboard. You do this by clamping down the floorboard and then drilling through the tab holes right through the floorboard. When you do this, install a bolt after every hole you drill. If you don't (I didn't) the floorboard may move around just slightly and then when you're all done, the holes will be slightly off. Thank goodness for the large washers that are used with the floorboard bolts! You can drill the holes oversize and it will be hidden underneath the washers.

The first step though is to cut and drill these floorboard supports...
This is the floorboard and the aluminum kickplate. Lots of transfer drilling.
In order to install the rudder pedals, you will need to remove the black powder coating so it fits in the female end (shown removed in the photo)
This is the 'tool' I used to remove the powder coating. I've tried a lot of different ways to remove the coating because it is so tough to get off (that's what's great about powder coating!) The wheel below works PERFECTLY! Go buy one at Home Depot. I posted a large pic of it here because I don't have the packaging to tell you anything about it or what it's called. Just print the picture and take it to Home Depot with you.
So here you have it. The floorboard is FINALLY installed. The next step for me is to start installing the rudder pedals.
