Moving along nicely! Today I installed the cross cables in the rear fuselage. The cables will appear to be too short-that's normal. I called Rans tech support and was instructed to put a tie strap diagonally and squeeze the fuse together enough to install the cables. Do one at a time.

See how the strap is on diagonally across the tubes? Install the cable that would parallel the strap and then put the strap on the opposite tubes and install the other cable.

Once the cables are installed, add the short piece of fuel tubing and a tie strap.

I finally got a picture of me working on the plane. Here I am installing the fuel tubing.

This strap goes on the station 4 cables if you are installing the aft baggage compartment.

I wanted to rivet the rear fuselage to the steel cage but this is as far as I could get! I just can't hand squeeze these 3/16" rivets. I remember I did squeeze a few 3/16" rivets on my S-10, but I must be getting weaker! I'm not sure how I will install these rivets-I may have to buy a pneumatic squeezer. My buddy has an air compressor I could use, but I don't know anyone that has a squeezer.
