| Today I spread two coats of U-500 thinned (1 part U-500 to 2 parts MEK) on the left wing. | |

Please note: that if you
are using the Superflite manual or video as a reference, the graphics
are incorrect on how to mix the glue. By the time you read this,
Superflite should have a note in your manual regarding this. If
you have questions, call the factory! As you spread the first coat on the wing, you will notice that it goes on like water. You might be wondering if it's too thin. It's not. Once you spread the second coat, you will start to see the thin build up of glue. These two pictures were taken after the two coats of glue. |

The wing is now ready for fabric! |

Here is the fabric laying on top of the wing. I've started clamping it in place so it won't move as I glue. |

I believe the key to gluing this on wrinkle free, is to glue around the edges, shrink the fabric tight, and then spread the glue on the top wrap and inboard and outboard aluminum. This way, the fabric will already be smoothed out and bubble free. Then it's just a matter of spreading the glue on the outside so it seeps through the fabric and activates with the glue that was spread on before covering. |
