I have to say I KICKED BUTT on the right wing today! I worked from 6:30 am till 10:34 pm straight! I only took breaks to eat.

I worked all last evening building the ribs and today I installed the ribs, cut, drilled, and dimpled all the top wrap supports as well as the root skin supports.

The wing is actually further along than these pics show...I forgot to take some more pics before I left the garage for the night.

This is rib #5. The slot is cut out to go around a long attach fitting on the spar.
I cut about 1/4 of an inch off the top of the fuel tank inlet so the cap would sit lower on in the wing. I think most people do this but I didn't do it on my S-10 and always wished that I did.
After finishing up the rest of the ribs this morning, the first thing I did was build this rib box at the wing tip. Obviously I worked all day, but it's amazing how fast this airplane can go together!
Here I am working on the root skin. Notice all the clecoes on the top wrap? Those are holding on all the supports (see below)
These are all the top wrap supports. Both ends on each piece have to be cut and trimmed. Then all the holes were drilled and dimpled with the tool shown in the pic.

3 SEP UPDATE: Only ONE end needs to be modified! I figured out today that only the inboard end needs to be modified. The outboard end fits UNDER the rib and needs no modification. Good thing Rans sells parts!!

Close up of the ends. The ends have to be cut so that they will fit over the ribs.
This is a close up of the pic above. Notice the red arrow is pointing to the round corner. Always round a corner like this to prevent stress cracks from forming.
