| Bolted the tailwheel on and got three of the four engine mount bolts installed. The lower right one went on and stripped! Luckily there is still about a 1/16" gap on the bolt head-enough to fit a sawzall in there and cut the head off. | |

The tailwheel is finally installed. The plane is now on all three wheels!! |
My flash makes the red look orange. I painted all the aluminum tailwheel pieces black for a finished look. |

Here is the inside of the firewall. As you can see, I didn't use the standard black fabric on the back side. This is the same material that's used on the glareshield. I got this idea from an S-7 I viewed at the RANS factory. I think this is a much sharper look. |

This is the parking brake
assembly. Look at this picture closely. See the two nuts to the right of
the parking brake? That is where the voltage regulator is screwed to the
firewall.
Do not position this according to the manual as I did! Raise it up about a 1/2". As you can see, the lower screw enters almost right on the steel frame tube. That is why the bottom bolt has a smaller washer and nut. You can also see the rubber grommet on the very top right side of the photo. This is where the battery cable and instrument wires will enter the engine compartment. |

This is where I mounted the fuse block. It is easily reachable while standing outside the airplane. It is located right behind the rudder pedals and the left side. |

I didn't like the idea of riveting this coolant bottle to the firewall so I used bolts instead. |
This is the back side of the coolant bottle. The third rivet is there to fill a hole I drilled in the wrong spot. I know-hard to believe isn't it? Me...screw up? noooo... |

Installed the fuel T. |
All the brake lines are installed except the ones that actually go out to the brakes. The single brake system is so much simpler than the dual brake system I had on the S-10 Sakota. |
