I'm still waiting to get out to the Guard to have the landing gear legs drilled. In the mean time, I am working on the vertical stab. I don't want to build it onto the airplane yet because I will still need to flip the fuselage upside down to work on the gear and bottom stringers. I just installed the 6" doubler and riveted on the nutplates.

This is the rear vertical stab spar with nutplates installed.

These are pieces to the tailwheel assembly. Being the perfectionist that I am, I can not leave them bare aluminum. So I primed and painted them black.

Looks much better right? I used this Dupli-Color primer and paint on my S-10 tailwheel pieces and it is a very tough and very fast drying paint. It's available at Advance Auto Parts...or at least that's where I bought it.
