When I was fitting the left wheel pant, I cut too much away and made a square corner. You can see the square corner under the fiberglass. This was a small project today to fill in this corner so I can make it round.

I laid up two 8 oz. pieces of fabric on the inside and a 5 oz. piece on the outside.
Here the fiberglass is dry and I rough cut the corner. With a little filler, you'll never know!
Here's another little project I've been wanting to do for a while. This is the tube that goes to the overflow water bottle. As you can see, I mounted it straight through the aluminum firewall piece.

After thinking about it later, I realized that with vibration, the two metals rubbing together will start to cut into each other.

The solution...

...was to make the hole larger on the top and bottom and insert rubber grommets.
The rest of the day was spent filling and sanding the left aft wheel pant. While a coat of putty was drying, I cut out the wing strut fairings. Next I will cut out the opening for the strut.
