You can't really see it in
this photo, but I added two layers of 8 oz cloth to the flange on this
rear half of the wheel pant. I did this to made the front half even with
the outside of the aft half. |

When the wheel pants are
put together, you can see the large gap between the front and rear half. |

The gap is very uneven all
the way around. |

To fill the gap, I first
wrapped the front half in this light brown packing tape. |
 |
Then I made up a mixture of
resin, cab-o-sil, cotton flock, and microballoons and filled the gap. |

Once this mess is sanded
off, I'm left with a perfect filler! Now there is no gap. I may need to
sand a few thousands off the front half to make a small gap for the
thickness of the primer and paint. |
