The first thing I did was build and
install the battery box. |

My next step was to install the antenna
mounting plate. The bottom of the plate has to be even with the bottom
stingers so I came up with this method to make sure it was even. As you
can see here, I tie wrapped two pieces of wood to the bottom of the
stringers, then... |

...set the plate on top of the wood.
This guarantees that the plate and the stringers are even! |

Here's what the antenna plate looks
like below the covering. It is perfectly even with the covering and
looks great. Looking from the outside, there's not even a ripple in the
fabric over the plate! Once the fuselage is painted, you'll never see
the plate but I'll have a nice solid place to mount the antenna. |
